DESIGNING WITH SHELL PEARLS
Shell pearls are man made. They are said to be produced from the powder derived from the inner lining of an oyster shell. The shell pearls get their shine from a protective coating after being coated with natural iridescent pearl nacre while still in its gel form, before it hardens.
Shell pearls are beautiful. They are more durable than cultured pearls but way less expensive.
I am excited! Let's design our jewellery with this set of bubbly beauties . . .
My hands went to work with the intention of replicating the design I already had in my imagination, of shell pearls fashion jewellery. However, it became obvious before I completed the first set that the materialisation of my imagination will do a disservice to the bubbly beauties. 😃
But thank God for the inspiration which led to the simple yet beautiful outcome of this design session.
There is beauty in simplicity . . .
. . . or what do you think?
Turns out that this set of jewellery can be worn in one of two ways. The second is as seen below:
And there's more because this set just keeps giving! 😘
When worn this way, that single shell pearl at the back as can be seen clearly in the preceeding image, adorns the nape of the neck and enhances the aesthetics of the wearer's back view. 😍
Which one of these is your favourite? ♥️
Stay beautiful,
'Zibah.
Wow. Beyond the beauty of this creativity, thank you for letting us into the world of the making of Shell Pearls. These are all so beautiful, I am lost on which particular design to pick as my best as the designs all catch my fancy.
